The June 26th ruling should not be a surprise to us who are professing Christians.  Not if we hold God’s Word as our ultimate standard of Truth.  If we recognize what we are seeing is the fulfillment of scripture. 

“For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”  2 Timothy 4:3-4

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.”  Romans 1:18-32

Man cannot change the nature of what was defined by God, while man has redefined man’s law’s about who can get married, it does not change or redefine God’s Laws and His Word.  God designed marriage to be between one man and one woman, that’s it. That’s why a man and woman are required in order to have a baby, because that’s how God designed it.  However the bigger issue at hand that many people are missing is the one that nine people changed the course of history and the letter of the law without the people.  Where is the people’s voice in this nation and what of the voice that was already heard and voted on in the states throughout the country?  Those voices no longer matter and are now trumped because nine people said so?  So if they decide something else for our nation without the people it will also be OK?  Why again do we vote for things?  We have lost yet more freedom and become stronger as a dictatorship.  

This affirms the direction of our country and its overall “sissification”.  Sissified because rights that were once had, like freedom of speech and beliefs are now targeted, where no one is allowed to speak about something they believe in if it offends someone else.   If someone says they don’t accept homosexuality because of their beliefs they are all of sudden homophobic, filled with hatred towards someone, even though they never said anything hateful or expressed any concerns other than supporting the Bible as their truth and belief.  

Are there professing Christians that have made a bad name for Christians and utter such hatred?  Absolutely, think Westboro Baptist Church, they are not Biblical Christians yet we get associated with them because of their association to a Church or denomination as so many other loose and watered down church’s who will not stand for God’s Word and in turn compromise scripture and cause further contention and diversity about what it means to be a Christian, it’s no wonder the world looks at Christians with such confusion and ridicule.  Those who are Bible obeying Christians know that Jesus told us that we will have tribulation (John 16:33) we will be mocked and our faith will be tested to produce steadfastness (James 1:3).  Now more than ever Bible obeying Christians need to be on our knees in prayer, in God’s Word daily, and engaged in sharing the Gospel as we were commanded to do.  We need to be practicing how we interact with the world so that they see us different, having been changed by Christ as a new creation, seasoned with salt and light, seeking to bring God glory and not ourselves.  Engaging others with gentleness, being kind to everyone, patiently enduring evil (2 Timothy 2:24-26) It’s not about winning the argument, it’s about being faithful to God’s Word and sharing that which we know and have experienced through God’s Word.

Homosexuality has been around since the beginning and yet professing Christians make such a big deal out of it as if it is a new sin or one that we should condemn those who violate it more sternly than other sins.  Homosexuality is no worse sin or new sin, so why are so many Christians throwing so much hate at homosexuals when they turn a blind eye to those who have abortions, which is murder.  In fact if we look at scripture and its definition of murder to a perfect, holy and just God who cannot tolerate sin, hatred would also be defined as murder.  How about lying?  Is lying all of sudden no longer a sin?  Or how about the blasphemy of God’s name?  At what point did we accept God’s name to be run through the mud, many professing Christian’s use this name loosely in their conversations and dropping omg’s and using His name without reverence as a sentence enhancer.  This is the same thing as cursing His name, or blasphemy before a holy just God.  Romans chapter six tells us the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).  It does not say wages of certain sins, or x number of sins, it spells it out very clearly, the wages of sin, and just one sin is enough to be thrown into Hell.  James 2:10 tells us that if you are guilty of breaking the law in one point you are guilty of breaking all of them.  This should greatly concern you for your sake and the sake of your loved one’s, it should compel you to your knees crying out to God for forgiveness and to grant you repentance which leads to the knowledge of truth (2 Timothy 2:25).  It should compel you to share the truth as God commanded to those around you instead of turning a blind eye and being loving by not speaking the truth.

Sin is the transgression of God’s law, whether that be lying, stealing, blasphemy, adultery, homosexuality, heterosexual sex outside of marriage (fornication), coveting what others have, creating false gods to suit your fancy, in many cases a false god to replace the God of the Bible because you have family or friends who are gay and you want to support them and their significant others rather than giving them the Gospel and showing them the truth of what scripture says.  So rather than warning them of the Hell that is to come you usher them right into Hell as if you are being loving.  My friends that is not loving, that is hating your family and friends because you are not warning them what God’s Word says and you are making a mockery of God and His Holy Word by twisting scripture so you can be socially and politically acceptable, so you can be a professing Christian that is loving and not judging.  Take time to divide God’s word about judging and what you are to do as a Christian, I won’t get into that here.  How about work towards being a Christian that reads and obeys his Bible?  God’s Word does not say we should run out and persecute the homosexuals any more than it says we should run out and persecute the liars and thieves.  What scripture does tell us to do is to proclaim the gospel to all creation.  It tells us to be kind and gentle to everyone, having patience as spoke of earlier in our interaction with people.  What is the Gospel?

The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ however you cannot have the good news without the bad news.  The bad news is that people are sinful and their sin separates them from God, because God is perfect, holy and just.  God cannot sin and does not tolerate it.  One sin is enough to be separated from God and we have all sinned and fallen short (Romans 3:23) one lie, lustful thought, blasphemy of God, hatred of another, murder, coveting, you get the gist, we are in a fallen state, separated from God deserving Hell that is the bad news.  The good news is that God in His kindness, mercy and grace made a way through Jesus Christ.  Jesus came to Earth born of a virgin, never sinned once in thought or action, lived a perfect life that no man can live.  He was 100% man and 100% God, He healed the sick, raised the dead, fulfilled hundreds of prophecies from the Old Testament, willingly went to the cross suffered a horrible, bloody death, than three days later rose from the grave forever defeating sin and death.  What God requires of us is that we repent (Greek word means to have a change of mind), turn from our sin, believe in Jesus Christ and trust in Him as our Savior, as only He can save us from the Hell we deserve.  We cannot save ourselves through any amount of good works or deeds.

We are saved only by God’s grace (Ephesians 2:4,5, 8-9), please cry out to God while He has given you time, beg Him for forgiveness, repent, believe and put your faith in the only name, Jesus Christ, that can save you. (John 14:6)
